Welcome to DeVry University's Columbus IEEE Student Branch

We are a group of people that come together with fun ideas, continued enthusiasm. Any one can be a member of IEEE and if you are interested in the latest technology then there is no reason not to join.

           Ohio University SPAC – March 26th weekend

           OSU SAC – April 11th

   Register at https://ieee.osu.edu/sac/ by February 15th for a discounted price

Lots of competitions! It's important to sign up for this ASAP. Right now it's $30, after the 15th (TODAY!) it jumps up to $40. More details will be provided at our next meeting.

The SAC is tons of fun. Friday night there is a video game tournament, and a bunch of competitions Saturday. There's some good talks and a career fair. After all of that there is a formal banquet with food, and a bunch of senior projects from all over IEEE Region 2. Later that night I believe everyone is going to the 8-Bit arcade for some retro games and drinks. It should be a fun day!

What IEEE is

IEEE stands for the Institute of Electrical and Electronics Engineers, and is a non-profit organization. IEEE is the world's leading professional association for the advancement of technology.

Although the organization is referred to by the letters I-E-E-E and pronounced Eye-triple-E.

The IEEE Serves

IEEE is the leading authority on areas ranging from aerospace systems, computers, and telecommunications to biomedical engineering, electric power, and consumer electronics.

Members rely on the IEEE as a source of technical and professional information, resources and services

IEEE serves to foster an interest in engineering for student members in colleges and universities around the world

Other important constituencies include prospective members and organizations that purchase IEEE products and participate in conferences or other IEEE programs.
